Critical Language Scholarship

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Critical Language Scholarship is a fully-funded summer overseas language and cultural immersion program for American undergraduate and graduate students. CLS seeks to build a cadre of Americans who speak critical languages and pursue high-level careers in government, business, arts & culture, science & engineering, health & medicine, education, and research.
