Graduate Application Fee Waiver Request Form

  Application fee waivers will not be processed until an ApplyTexas application has been submitted and received by The Graduate College. Before submitting the application, please be sure to select the “Pay by Check or Money Order” option as any payments made at the time of an application’s submission will not be refunded.


Purpose: Graduate application fee waivers are based on evidence of financial need and are intended to assist in the admission of graduate-bound students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Waivers will only be considered if the applicant meets the eligibility criteria outlined below.

Eligibility Criteria: In order to qualify for a graduate application fee waiver, applicants must:

  1. have an application on file with The Graduate College
  2. submit this "Graduate Application Fee Waiver Request Form’ to The Graduate College, and 
  3. submit appropriate documents (FAFSA to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships or Fulbright/McNair award letter to The Graduate College)

All fee waiver requests are subject to approval by The Graduate College and may be used to apply to a maximum of two applications.


Acknowledgement: By submitting this form, I request that the graduate admission application fee be waived. I understand that this request is subject to approval by The Graduate College and any fees previously paid will not be refunded.
