Graduate Student Appreciation Week

2021 Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) banner

Texas State University has a vibrant graduate community, with over 4,000 students enrolled in over 100 master’s and doctoral programs. Every year, The Graduate College celebrates this community with a week-long event: Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW), which recognizes the contributions, impact, and value of our graduate and professional students. The week is filled with a variety of free events for graduate students, including socials, wellness activities, workshops, and other special events.

This year's GSAW is taking place Monday, April 5 – Friday, 9, 2021, and all events are being held virtually! Check out the schedule of events and register today!

As a way to celebrate graduate student experiences in a virtual setting, we are holding a social media campaign sharing and recognizing impactful, positive, and fun memories from graduate school: Grad Stories. These experiences may include a memorable class, fun trip, professor or peer who has impacted you, and more! Texas State graduate students are invited to share their graduate experiences through social media (Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook) from Monday, March 22 to Friday, April 9. For the Graduate College account to share your post, please use the hashtag #txstgsaw and follow and tag us @txstgradcollege. We can’t wait to hear your stories!

While the following events are reserved for graduate students at Texas State, we encourage faculty and staff to attend this year's virtual International Research Conference and Kickoff event.
