Graduate Student Appreciation Week
Texas State University has a vibrant graduate community, with over 4,000 students enrolled in over 100 master’s and doctoral programs. Every year, The Graduate College celebrates this community with a week-long event: Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW), which recognizes the contributions, impact, and value of our graduate and professional students. The week is filled with a variety of free events for graduate students, including workshops, wellness activities, and other special events.
This year's GSAW was held on Monday, April 5 – Friday, 9, 2021, and all events were held virtually!
As a way to celebrate graduate student experiences in a virtual setting, we held a social media campaign sharing and recognizing impactful, positive, and fun memories from graduate school: Grad Stories. These experiences included a memorable class, fun trip, interactions with a professor or peer, and more! You can view our graduate students' stories on social media (Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook) by searching the hashtag #txstgsaw!
Thank you to our 2021 on-campus sponsors: Bobcat Bounty, Campus Recreation, Career Services, Common Experience, Counseling Center, Graduate House of Representatives, School of Family and Consumer Sciences' Nutrition and Foods, and School of Social Work.
We would also like to thank the City of San Marcos - Mayor's Office for having proclaimed Graduate Student Appreciation Week.
