Admissions supporting documents and transcripts must be received (not postmarked) by the Office of the Graduate College by the published deadlines. Required documents may be mailed to the Office of the Graduate College or submitted online through this website (see below).
Please note that documents sent via Federal Express and DHL are routed through the university via the Central Receiving Department and documents sent via US mail are routed through Campus Mail Services. Please allow sufficient time for delivery to our office.
Some programs require specific forms to be used when submitting references and essays, and the specific requirements for each program vary. Prospective students should check the following website for specific admission requirements and information related to the applicant's program of interest: http://www.gradcollege.txstate.edu/apply.
Some programs have earlier deadlines and adhere to those deadlines, while other programs are more flexible with their deadlines, and applications for those programs will continue to be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with no guarantees for admission for those who complete the application process after the deadline. Admission applications and supporting documents must be complete by the priority deadline set by each graduate program to be considered for scholarships, fellowships, and assistantships.Deadlines may be reviewed at http://www.gradcollege.txstate.edu/apply.
Incomplete application files are kept for only one year. Documents and transcripts submitted without an ApplyTexas application will not be retained.
Reference letters should be submitted from the individual writing the letter and may be submitted electronically through e-mail at email@example.com. References will need the applicant name and date of birth, and preferably an ID number when e-mailing their recommendation letter/form. References may also mail their letter of recommendation in an unopened envelope to the address below:

Applicants will electronically submit the documents listed above to The Graduate College at https://tim.txstate.edu/gadocumentupload/. Letters of recommendation may be sent by the recommender via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Recommenders will need to include the applicant name and date of birth, and preferably a student ID number. Please allow 3 to 5 working days for these documents to be filed before checking your status online or contacting our office. (Processing time may be higher during peak times.)
