Application Status Check

The Graduate College offers applicants the ability to check on the status of their applications at their convenience. However, applicants cannot check their status until they have activated their Texas State NetID. Applicants will receive an e-mail from The Graduate College within 3 – 4 business days after their ApplyTexas application has been received by The Graduate College. This e-mail will provide the applicant with an application ID (beginning with "E00"), a Texas State NetID, and NetID activation instructions. Once the NetID is activated, applicants will then be able to submit admission materials online. All admissions communications will be sent to the e-mail address provided on the ApplyTexas application. 


Status Definition Action to Take
Incomplete One or more documents have not yet been received or processed by The Graduate College, or that a document was not received in the required format. Review the specific requirements found on your status page above, ensure you have sent the necessary documents to the correct office and in the correct format, and/or allow the university more time to receive and process your materials.
Complete All documents, test scores, and fees have been submitted to The Graduate College in the specified format and are under review by the program's admission committee. Allow 4-6 weeks for the program to review your application and materials. Program decisions will typically be made within 4-6 weeks after the application has reached a complete status.
Decision Made The program has reviewed the application materials submitted and entered an admission decision for the application. Check your email - the program's decision will be e-mailed directly to you on the evening that your application status changed to "Decision Made."
