ApplyTexas Application

All applicants requiring an F-1 Student Visa must complete the ApplyTexas International Student Application Form for their intended degree program through the www.ApplyTexas.org website. After selecting the start semester, please select "Graduate, International" followed by the intended degree program.

Application Fee

Application fees based on the application type submitted to The Graduate College and are paid at the time of submission of the online application form. If submitting payment after completing the ApplyTexas application, applicants can pay online through our secure portal TouchNet.

Official Transcripts & Mark Sheets Requirements

The Graduate College requires two (2) official, university-sealed transcripts from every university attended: one (1) in the native language of the university and one (1) certified translation into English (only when the native language transcripts of the university are not already in English). Please note The Graduate College requirements for transcripts/mark sheets below:

  • The Graduate College will evaluate and conduct grade conversions for all international transcripts. Applicants are not required to submit any transcript evaluations for admission consideration (only translations are needed). The Graduate College prefers translations from the following organizations:
  • If the international university issues transcripts in English, applicants only need to provide one (1) official, university-sealed transcript. However, if the international university issues transcripts in a language other than English, applicants must also provide a second, certified translation into English.
  • Academic records (transcripts and mark sheets) must be submitted directly to The Graduate College by post in an envelope sealed by the university recognized by the appropriate bodies of that country and must include official stamps, seals, and/or signatures from the university’s Registrar or Controller of Examinations. These documents must be printed on university letterhead in order to be considered official.
  • Applicants currently studying in the final year of a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral program are required to submit their most recent official transcripts directly to The Graduate College. For GPA calculation purposes, all applicants in this situation must submit all transcripts/mark sheets except their final semester's grades. For example, if your Bachelor's program is four years in length, you must submit transcripts up to your 7th semester (Year 4, Semester 1) at minimumStudents admitted into a graduate program at Texas State in this situation will be required to submit their final transcripts and degree statements by the end of their first semester of enrollment at Texas State.

Graduation/Degree Certificate Requirements

The Graduate College requires two (2) copies of official diplomas or degree certificates: one (1) in the native language of the university and one (1) certified translations into English. Please note The Graduate College requirements for graduation/degree certificates below:

  • Certificates must include the type of degree earned, the date the degree had been awarded, and must show all official stamps, seals, and.or signatures from the university’s Registrar or Controller of Examinations Office.
  • Applicants with credentials from China must submit a copy of both their Graduation Certificate(s) and their Degree Certificate(s), each in the native language and translated into English.
  • Applicants with credentials from India may submit a Provisional Certificate of Completion in place of their final degree certificate.
  • Applicants currently studying in the final year of a degree program not will be required to submit a copy of their final degree statement/certificate of completion. However, students in this situation that are admitted to Texas State will be required to submit their final transcripts and degree statements by the end of their first semester of enrollment at Texas State.

Note: This requirement for admission will be listed as "University Diploma" on the application checklist and will reflect all degrees, diplomas, and certificates an applicant has been awarded or is currently pursuing.

English Proficiency Scores (TOEFL/IELTS)
