Dia De Los Muertos 5K Run 2015

Dia De Los Muertos 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run

Despite the flooding over Halloween weekend, the October Running with the Graduate Deans race had a very high attendance! Faculty, staff, and students from the Departments of Geography, Modern Languages, Education, Mass Communication, Mathematics, the offices of Financial Aid and Undergraduate Admissions all ran the Dia De Los Muertos 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run, making it the most diverse Texas State populate yet! Several runners even recruited spouses to participate. As in previous races, several of our runners placed in their age groups and received some very fun looking trophies (see side image). Runners of all speeds and ages were able to pose with a delightfully decorated couple at the end of the race. All in all, runners and walkers raised $450 by participating in the race since we deposit the equivalent of the race entry fee into our scholarship funds.
