Application material does not carry over from one year to the next. If your application file is incomplete at the deadline or you are denied admission, you may apply again. However, you must begin a new application file by submitting the appropriate materials both to the Graduate College and the Anthropology Department.

ADMISSION AS A MASTER'S STUDENT:
Complete an Application for Admission to the Graduate College and return it to the Office of the Graduate College. Submit a non-refundable $40.00 application fee (check or money order in U.S. currency) made payable to Texas State. A $50.00 (U.S. currency) international/evaluation fee is required if the application is considered for admission based on foreign credentials.
Please Note: Students who change their admission status must pay the fee associated with their application status. Degree-seeking students changing majors and/or seeking multiple degrees are required to complete a new application and pay the $40 fee.

•  You may apply online through the ApplyTexas Application. Please allow 2 working days for the application to be received by Texas State.
  

TRANSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS:
If you are a Texas State University-San Marcos degree recipient or are currently enrolled, you need to request transcripts from any colleges NOT listed on your Texas State transcript. The Graduate College will provide the Texas State transcripts.

If you are not a Texas State University-San Marcos degree recipient or are not currently enrolled, one official transcript from each senior level post secondary institution attended is required. These transcripts must be mailed directly from the university or college attended or submitted in a sealed university envelope with the university's registrar's signature on the back of the envelope.

REGULAR ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
You must have a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 undergraduate semester hours of letter-grade work earned before receipt of your Bachelor's (plus any previously completed graduate or professional work).
You also must have the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) prior with a preferred score of 1000 (verbal and quantitative combined).

            2)  Three (3) Recommendation Forms
            3)  Curriculum Vitae or Resume
