|Get Your Texas State Parking Permit |
If you are commuting to the San Marcos campus and need a parking permit, you may register your vehicle online and get the permit mailed directly to you. Please link to Parking Services to get the specifics, as well as a map of approved commuter parking lots on campus. Parking permits can be issued after tuition and fees are paid. In order to have your permit on the first class day, please allow 5 working days (if applying online) for processing and mailing.
Get Your Student ID
After you have paid your tuition and fees, you are eligible to obtain your Texas State ID card. Students attending on the main campus should go to ID Services located in the LBJ Student Center room 2-9.1 during regular office hours. Extended office hours are maintained during the late registration periods and correspond with the days and times listed in the class schedule under the heading "Last Day to Pay. ID Services will remain open on August 23rd until 6:30 p.m. in order to accommodate graduate students. You will need to have made a payment towards your Fall tuition before you are eligible to get a student ID.
Locate Parking and Classroom Buildings
The Texas State website has a virtual map where you can locate your on-campus classroom buildings, parking, Tram routes, and a San Marcos city map. You can click on the map and get a picture of the building and accessible directions. To match the buildings with the abbreviations on your class schedule, the Registrar has a master list of buildings that are located on the main Texas State campus.

Shuttle Bus System
The shuttle bus system operates on campus and provides transportation from designated points in Austin to Texas State during fall and spring semesters. For out-of-town or route schedule information, call (512) 754-8993 or visit http://www.tram.txstate.edu/. The on-campus shuttle bus also provides wheelchair-accessible service.
