Congratulations to the winners of the second 3MT® Competition at Texas State University. The competition was held at Texas State on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
The winners shown here with Dr. Golato, Dean of the Graduate College, are (L-R) Rain Nox, Sydney Granger, and Kate Bell.
First Place Winner – Sydney Granger. Sydney is a doctoral student in Developmental Education. The title of her presentation was “Influence and Preparation: TAs and Tutors as Developing Professionals”. The first place award was $500. Watch her presentation on YouTube.
Runner Up - Rain Nox. Rain is a doctoral student in Geography. The title of her presentation was “Wildfire Mitigation Behavior on Single Family Residential Properties near Balcones Canyonlands Preserve Wildlands in Austin, Texas”. This award was $350. Watch her presentation on YouTube.
People’s Choice – Kate Bell. Kate is a doctoral student in Aquatic Resources. The title of her presentation was “The Population Genomics and Architecture of Jaw Morphology in a Trophically Polymorphic Cichlid”. The People’s Choice award was $250. Watch her presentation on YouTube.
